The winery

Domain Nicolaides is situated at Anoyira, a picturesque village close to Limassol at an altitude of 450m. The pioneer was Grandfather Nicholas, whose name adorns the label of the most expensive of the winery’s products - Conte Nicholas - a wine where two select cosmopolitan grape varieties meet — Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.

In 1986 the winery was handed down to Mr Nicolas sons Agathocles and Chrysanthos, who used their father’s earthen jars, known as pitharia, to produce a mere 600 bottles of wine. Today, the youngest in the family, Nicos who represents the third generation of winemakers has taken over. Equipped with the valuable knowledge which he acquired at the School of Viticulture and Oenology of Montpellier, Nicos is bent on upgrading the quality of the wine. The current capacity of the winery stands at 130.000 bottles (750ml) but improvements are under way in order to upgrade and expand storage facilities.

The Vines

The winery owns a total of 4 ha of vineyards which are situated close to the winery at an altitude of 450-500m above sea level covering nearly 20% of the winery’s requirements.

The wines

In total eight labels are produced from a diverse range of grape varieties. Proudly presented and best selling wine is the Aphrodino Rose, standing out as one of the best Rose wines on the island.
