Company Profile
From the village of Kato Milos in the Pitsilia District, the company is a joint venture between Christakis Campourides and his father-in-law. Both founders had an inherited knowledge of processing and preserving meat using Cypriot traditional methods from their forefathers. Christakis had further attended courses related to the food industry and business management. The company remains a regional, family run meat processor employing a small workforce but one that has seriously invested in health and safety standards, operating since 2004 under the HACCP certification. It produces its own wine for the processing needs, from the Mavro and Ophthalmo grape varieties found in the Pitsilia region and insists on using preservatives free, traditional methods to produce 'Hiromeri', Posirti, Lounza, Sausages and Pastourma.
Allantopioia Homatas Ltd also produces European style products using modern industrialized methods to satisfy the needs of a distinct sector of the market. These include Ham leg, Back Bacon, Bacon and Smoked ham. The company delivers its products to supermarkets and other major retail points in Cyprus and is keen to identify potential export markets especially for its unique traditional products.

With an in-depth know how of the traditional techniques for processing meat and a twenty year history of business success, the company is now preparing for a new milestone. A new and modern plant is to be built in the near future that will increase capacity and provide the thrust for further development by opening up new markets, both in Cyprus and internationally.
