Company Profile

GRIGORIOU owns the biggest meat processing factory in Cyprus, delivering to local and foreign market a broad range of processed and cooked meats. Founded in 1976 by the Gregoriou brothers with a family tradition of more than 30 years in the processing of traditional meat products, the company operates since 1978 in a modern, technologically advanced factory at Ypsonas, Limassol giving a daily capacity of 20 tons of finished products.

 

Besides being the island's market leader, GRIGORIOU is also a leading firm in food hygiene controls, operating the HACCP system since 1992. In 2002, GRIGORIOU became the first Cypriot company to implement the three management systems of the internationally recognized organizations, CYS, ELOT and IQNET. The company is applying the certified system HACCP for food hygiene and safety according to the ELOT 1416 model.  A quality management system according to the ELOT EN ISO9001: 2000 international system and an environmental management system according to the ELOT EN ISO14001 international model are also in place. The application of these systems, the strictly enforced quality controls and the carefully conceived modernization and automation programs for production and packaging, ensure the high quality of the company's products.

 

Since 1997, GRIGORIOU B.E. is in a joint venture with a leading Greek processor, P.G. NIKAS S.A., for the production and merchandising of unique, top quality NIKAS products at the company's factory. In the context of co-operation, the two companies exchange know-how in production techniques at all levels. GRIGORIOU and NIKAS delicacies are both prepared at a technologically advanced plant to strict hygienic standards by a dedicated and highly-trained workforce of 110 people.

 

GRIGORIOU B.E. Ltd is engaged in the manufacture and trade of sausages and other meat products. Apart from producing a large variety of European style foodstuffs, the Grigoriou family tradition of preparing local Cypriot products continues.  These are still made with the exact same recipes used by the village families of Cyprus - the only change being the strict application of continuous scientific controls.
