Ostrich steaks with Coummandaria (sweet wine) sauce

Ingredients:

  • 8 ostrich steaks (120 gr. each)
  • Finely chopped onion 100gr.
  • Brandy 50ml
  • Red Wine 50ml
  • Coummandaria (sweet wine) 50ml
  • Flour 200gr.
  • Parsley
  • Salt, Pepper

Instructions:

Coat the steaks with flour. Saute the steaks with olive oil in the frying pan. Add the onion until golden brown. Add the brandy and allow the flame to burn for a few seconds and then pour in the red wine. Cook well until the sauce thickens. Add Coummandaria. Simmer in low heat and stir occasionally until the sauce is ready. Add the parsley. Dish is served with boiled vegetables and chips.
