Company Profile

The company was set up by Mr. Christos Pahitas in 1981. As a student of architecture in Florence, he had worked in an Italian gelateria where he gained knowledge of the process for manufacturing ice cream. Later on while in Cyprus, he formulated ice cream recipes utilizing flavorings imported directly from Italy. The other ingredients, namely milk and fruit, were and still remain so, of Cypriot origin purchased fresh from local farmers. The family character of the business has recently been supported by the entrance of two young energetic successors, the sons of Mr Pahitas, bringing along not only an academic expertise for the industry but also new ideas. Care and attention to detail is their motto for maintaining the quality and flavor of their products. PAHIT ICE today operates a HACCP certified, small but fully equipped ice cream factory in Nicosia serving the entire island mainly with bulk ice cream in 5lt plastic containers. It has a broad customer base both geographically and across a broad range of retail outlet types.  

PAHIT ICE is more than just a manufacturer of ice cream. The company owns and operates three gelatterias situated at prime locations in Nicosia. All three bear a stylish and occasionally contemporary design and carry the flagship of PAHIT ICE cream. For more than 20 years now, the company has had the same superb quality and its taste compares favorably to numerous premium brands.  PAHIT ICE is to date an established brand on the island playing a leading role in the artisanal share of the ice cream market.
